Major and Minor Chords With Inversions Wide Voicing's

Triads in western music is derived from Major or Minor scales. The notes from either scales are built in thirds, or every other note if reading left to right. The Major Triad, Minor Triad, Diminished Triad, and the Augmented Triad are the cornerstone of western music and most chords, no matter how fancy usually start with these four sets of chords. Below I have written out in text how to find Major , Minor , Augmented , and Diminished triads based on the C Major scale and the C Minor scale.

In this video series I will demonstrate Major and Minor Triads in a wide voicing meaning the strings sets that make up the chord won’t be adjacent to each other which will give a more airy and less predictable sound.. In this 2 part series I will concentrate on the G major, G minor, C major, and C minor chords in root position as well as the 1st and 2nd inversions. As usual hope you enjoy this lesson.
