Jazz Blues Chord Study
When learning jazz guitar the most common progression would be the jazz blues progression. The blues in general would be a natural step into jazz since it is a fundamental progression in every genre of music. In this video I would like to introduce some of the jazzier chords that can be implemented into a blues format. In this video I will still follow the same basic rules of a twelve bar blues but interject some variations of chords and voicing s on certain measures to spice it up a bit. I will save the theory of why I am using these chords for a different lesson, but for today learning these new chord shapes will take some time to digest. The improvisation over these chords in a jazz format can be tricky, but using a blues scale over the twelve bars in whatever key you are playing will also work just fine. As usual keep on strumming
